As your president, I wanted to send out a message to introduce myself.
My name is Xavier Angel and I have the opportunity to serve as your President of the McKendall Estates Home Owner’s Association. My wife, Maureen, and I moved into the neighborhood in March 2009 looking for a quite and safe neighborhood to raise our three children. We feel that we have found a place to call home in what I feel is one of the best communities in New Orleans East.
I am excited about the opportunity to join the board and help maintain the beauty, appeal and value of our neighborhood. It is my intent to serve our community to the best of my abilities. As with any neighborhood, McKendall Estates will be the most successful when we come together as a community. This is your neighborhood, your association, and it needs you to succeed. It is important for our community to maintain our beautiful neighborhood by abiding by our restrictions. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about these regulations which help make McKendall Estates a safe and desirable neighborhood.
I would like to thank everyone for the continued support and patience. We are excited by the upcoming year with the launch of our new website promoting McKendall Estates and showing others our special neighborhood. We appreciate any feedback and welcome your ideas, thoughts, and suggestions. I want to encourage each resident to be involved as much as possible. It is a great way to meet your neighbors while building a strong community.
I am honored to serve as your president and I look forward to seeing you around the neighborhood.
Water sports and booze have officially arrived at Tipitina’s Lakeshore Landing with the recent additions of YNOT Dock and NOLA Flyboarding.
YNOT Dock, the Lakefront’s latest bar and venue, held a grand opening party along with NOLA Flyboarding, a water sports rental business, on Saturday, June 2. The event at 6701 Stars and Stripes Blvd was family friendly and offered free water activities like paddle boarding and kayak lessons. The night featured a flyboarding light show performance at sunset by Tony Bertucci, owner of both YNOT Dock and NOLA Flyboarding.
The water sport of flyboarding was created in 2012 by Franky Zapata, and according to Bertucci, he was one of the first five to ten people that learned the sport in 2012. Click here to read the full article.
